The Coldharbour BWT system is a G8 type system as defined by IMO.
The system is under the flag state approval of the UK Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) and the Chinese Flag state Authority (MSA) under the supervision of their respective agencies – Lloyds Register (UK) and CCS (China). The system is currently in the final stages of land testing at the Netherlands Institute for Oceanographic Research (NIOZ) and on-board testing on a large oil tanker. The final approval certificate is expected to be awarded no later than Q1 2012
